The Elizabeth Coteman Fund will deliver the first integrated Regional Support Service for Pancreatic Cancer Patients

One of our key objectives for 2015 has already been met with the launch of a new, integrated regional service for families challenged by pancreatic cancer. Aimed at providing – ‘Support and Friendship for Individuals, Families and Carers living with, and beyond, Pancreatic Cancer’ – the new service brings together Maggie’s cancer support centre,  Macmillan Cancer Information and Support, and The Elizabeth Coteman Fund (ECF), in a unique partnership

The service has been designed to ensure that anybody affected by pancreatic cancer can access advice, guidance, support and friendship and will operate in partnership with NHS doctors and nursing staff to provide a holistic model of care. Maggie’s, Macmillan and ECF will cross-refer patients and families to each other to make sure that they are getting the most appropriate support and that nobody seeking help is denied.

Referrals will also be made by Cambridge Cancer Help Centre and the services provided by The Elizabeth Coteman Fund will continue to be available beyond the region.
