The Fund was the recipient of a funding award from Cambridge Building Society, as part of the Society’s well established and much valued community support programme. The Elizabeth Coteman Fund was one of four local charities receiving awards after £7,000 was raised during a Race Night. The event was organised by the Society’s staff Busy Bees fundraising team.
Carole Charter, Marketing Manager for the Society, who helped organise the event, said:
“Staff worked exceptionally hard to make our fundraising event a success; we are delighted to be able to support these worthwhile causes”.
Representing the Fund at the presentation were Gerald Coteman, Elizabeth’s husband, her son Mark, and her sister Judith Atkinson.
Commenting on the award of £1,750, Judith said: “Elizabeth and I had begun fundraising before her death in April, so we are extremely grateful to Cambridge Building Society for their generous gift and for their support, this is a wonderful boost to our work.”
